The Loading Dock Tower
This is an Islamic Periodsite located in a sand dune environment, a few metres from the sea. The oldest one dates back to the Taifa Caliphate period, of a similar chronology as the Montcaio Ribat (10th and 11th centuries).
Several centuries after it was abandoned, it was reused on occasions during the Modern Era (18th century). Due to its location on the seafront, the tower carried out coastal surveillance related to maritime traffic and the control of sea resource exploitation.
