Guardamar offers some of the most compact and interesting tourist accommodation on the Costa Blanca south of Alicante.
We are 25 km [30 min] south of Alicante-Elche International Airport, on the N-332 Alicante-Cartagena coastal road. We are also well connected from Alicante Central Bus Station, 35 km [45 min] away.
When you arrive at Guardamar – one of the most important historical towns in the area – you will see the outline of the castle or Castell de Guardamar [13th century]. Its illumination at night has turned it into a visual landmark of the coastal region of the Vega Baja del Segura.
Guardamar is a cosy little town that doubles its population in summer. Most of its tourist accommodation is located—in the town centre—less than a 5 minutes walk from fine sandy beaches. Choose from a variety of hostels, hotels and holiday flats of different categories.
The city’s hotels are usually small and medium-sized establishments that have been family-run for generations.
To the north, just before reaching the entrance to the town, you will find the Alannia Guardamar Camping Resort [5 stars], at the mouth of the Segura river.
To the south, in the direction of Cartagena, you will find the Palm Mar camping [3 stars] and then the large Playas de Guardamar hotel, with 500 rooms on the beachfront.
With its 11 km of dunes and beaches—in the middle of the coastal forest—the mouth of the River Segura, the ‘Huerta’ (agricultural country) and the ‘Campo’ (countryside), we are convinced that you will come back to spend your holidays in this unique seaside destination.
