Gastronavidad Guardamar: the second edition arrives at Reina Sofía Park

The Gastronavidad Guardamar festival celebrates its second edition from 5 to 8 December 2025 at Reina Sofía Park, becoming a key event for visitors from Vega Baja, Alicante and Elche. The proposal brings together street food, cultural activities and a festive Christmas atmosphere, offering a different way to enjoy the December bank holiday. From the Friday afternoon opening until the Monday closing, the programme includes continuous performances, family workshops and a gastronomic area hosting several food trucks from across the province. It is therefore designed as an event for all audiences, with activities available throughout the entire day.

The event is held in a central, easily accessible space, as Reina Sofía Park is one of the town’s most dynamic areas. Its natural environment and wide paths allow visitors to move effortlessly between performances, food areas and children’s zones. This year’s edition also includes a special incentive for families: for every purchase over ten euros, visitors receive a ticket for the carousel installed on-site —a proposal that brings the Christmas spirit even closer to the youngest attendees.

Programme of the second edition of Gastronavidad

Opening of Gastronavidad

Friday 5 December marks the official opening at 5:00 p.m. From that moment on, activities begin, ranging from the dance performance by the Chari Candela School to the Babidibú mini disco, which opens the first family activities of the evening. The programme continues with comedy by El Famoso Trino, live music with the tribute “A lo Fito”, and DJ Freddy’s session until closing.

Saturday with showcooking and musical performances

On Saturday 6 December, activities continue from midday with a showcooking session by the local gastronomic association, strengthening the culinary identity of the event. Later in the evening, a performance by Noelia Braceras “Idol Kids” and another DJ set by Freddy keep the festive atmosphere going into the night.

Charity and sport on Sunday

On Sunday 7 December, the programme incorporates charity activities and sports. At 12:00 p.m., the charity bingo attracts participants of all ages, followed by a Kangoo Jump session that opens the afternoon with physical activity. Ambient music continues throughout the day until the Magia en Azúcar performance, which also coordinates cookie-decorating workshops throughout the four days. However, Sunday afternoon adds two distinctive elements: Christmas storytelling, the show by magician Javi Martínez and the musical performances of Dr. B. López and Russel. The day ends again with DJ Freddy and large attendance.

Monday cooking session with Marcos Boza

On Monday 8 December, the final day is dedicated to a last gastronomic encounter featuring the showcooking of chef Marcos Boza “La Maka”. The musical atmosphere continues throughout midday and the event closes officially at 5:00 p.m.

Food trucks and gastronomy

The food truck area gathers a wide variety of culinary proposals. Among them are The Authentic American Burger, Casablanca, El Jardín, La Maka, La Cañada, MiMo, Papas Sur, Candalacho, Pinxo and El Patio de mi Casa. The selection includes everything from American-style dishes to Mediterranean specialties, with sweet options and alternatives for those seeking quick yet high-quality food. These proposals are an essential part of Gastronavidad Guardamar, allowing visitors to enjoy the event while moving between activities.

Children’s workshops and ongoing activities

Throughout the event, children’s workshops led by Babidibú take place continuously, along with the cookie-decorating sessions organised by Magia en Azúcar. These activities complement the rest of the programme. The children’s area is designed so visitors can combine performances, gastronomy and workshops without losing the event’s rhythm. This creates an offer that allows families to enjoy the bank holiday without leaving the park.

The Gastronavidad Guardamar festival strengthens the local strategy of offering cultural and gastronomic experiences in the municipality. The December bank holiday is one of the busiest moments of the year in the province, and this event becomes an ideal plan for those seeking activities in the south of Alicante.
