Guardamar is immersed in the process of renewing the recognition of tourist municipality of the Valencian Community,according to the new Statute and the new Law on Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality of 2020, with a high level of demand regarding the previous law, which dated 1998.

The foundations on which this recognition and its subsequent maintenance are based are sustainability, hospitality, the valorization of territory and landscape, the relevance of culture and digital intelligence, as well as the quality of infrastructures and tourism companies and services.

Thus, Guardamar has joined the Network of Intelligent Tourist Destinations of the Valencian Community (Red DTI-CV),with an intense work agenda.

Guardamar has now accessed the first of the three levels of the DTI-CV Network, essential for us to be officially recognized as a next-generation destination.
